My Story

I've been interested in coding and making video games since I learned that was a job I could have! I experimented with coding in Scratch and Code.org in my early years, and in high school I picked up on Java through an AP Computer Science class. That only fueled my desire to keep making games. Now in college I have gotten practice in learning how to: use Java and Python, make an entire website from scratch with HTML, CSS, MySQL, and PHP, make hardware and software combined projects with an Arduino board and Processing, and make games in Unreal Engine 5.1, Unity Engine and Godot. I've made a lot of progress with my time here at Marist, having learned GDScript, the SFML Library, and even developed my very own game, Sakura Fallen! I may only be starting my journey as a Game Developer, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to succeed and improve my skills. Beyond just that, I've also put in the effort to learn other things at Marist, mainly my Psychology minor to add onto my existing knowledge. I've taken quite a few psychology courses and I hope my skill with that will add a unique perspective to any games I assist in developing in the future!
